I have used soy curls in many recipes here on spabettie:
I love this product, and they are local to Oregon, which, for me, is even better! Soy curls are vegan and gluten free, and are very versatile!
Dan Butler of Butler foods, the makers of Soy Curls, recently sent me some – Thank You Dan! What am I going to do with them? Give them to YOU, of course! I get so many comments and emails when I use these, I know there are many readers who would love to give these a try…

I’m a big fan of soy because I have been a vegetarian for 3 years and recently decided to try being vegan. Having soy in my diet makes it much easier to eat a variation on the things I love!
I would LOVE to try those soy curls! Ever since i saw them on your blog I’ve been on the look out for them but with no luck!
My thoughts on soy are that I like it. I pretty much only ever consume it as milk and tofu though, I haven’t branched out beyond that. But, as a newish vegetarian it’s nice to have as an option, I mostly still create my usual recipes from my carnivore days, but sub the meat out for tofu.
I follow you on Twitter now!
You are on my blog roll.
Basil is a Dachshund like my doggie. I wish you guys lived closer so we could have a doxie playdate!
The hubby and I like soy! We get a veggie crumbles that we’ve used in tacos/mexican, shepard’s pie, etc… but they are more like ground beef so it’d be cool to try something new!
I tweeted about your contest today!
Basil is a Dachshund (and an adorable one that that!). I also think he would enjoy playing with my puppy/demon/troublemaker when I get out to Oregon in Sept.
Spabettie dog Basil is a Dachshund! And a cute one at that!
I am confused about soy, really. I thought it was ok to eat then I hear it’s not. I understand the GMO aspect of it, and I always eat non-GMO soy… I also can see that its not easily digestible for some and even I get a stomach ache if I have too much tofu. Soy milk? I drink because I really dont like milk; I never did. But I change it up for almond/rice milk just to add to protein powder. I guess in the end it’s moderation that is key??
If I had the soy curls, would make FAJITAS!!! YUM YUM YUM…I hope I win because I cant get them here!
maybe in the winter I would make the peanut soup because that soup is goooooOOOOOOOOOd!:)
I linked ya back to my blog

Cool. I do eat soy, but I try to make sure I include multiple protein sources not just all soy all day.
I would likely use them the way you have – especially for fajitas or quesadillas. Pizza would be good too…..
