Yes, I am still reeling over The Power of Twitter.

I received my other fun bloggie exchange in the mail yesterday, and it was another Great one! :) (Have I said before that I like receiving packages?)

This one was from my friend Jessie, who writes the great blog Bites and Pieces. She was the second person to answer my tweet about acquiring something very specific!

While I already found someone to provide me with the yums, I *DO* love fun bloggie exchanges, so I asked if Jessie would want to do one anyway!! I am so happy I did – not only did I have fun assembling some great vegan treats local to Portland, I love what Jessie sent me!

Did she know I love coconut water? Ginger tea?

She couldn’t have known I LOVE Chihuly?

Also, while tweeting with Jessie just the other day, she happened to mention she is coming to Portland next summer for the Vida Vegan Blog Conference, and suggested I look into it.

I cannot wait for this conference! Yes, I am not completely vegan right now, although I eat mostly vegan just out of preference. I love cooking and baking vegan and raw foods, and love living in a city that supports the vegan lifestyle in so many ways.

Again, I turned to twitter, and have started contacting some of my twitter and blog friends I want to come visit my city next August. Many of them are planning on visiting, and I am so excited. There are so many more people I want to come visit. It’s going to be a fun week and weekend, for sure.

So thank you, Jessie, for sending me a great package. Thank you for letting me know about Vida Vegan! I look forward to meeting you and everyone else, and showing you all around my city. :)

What a thoughtful package! I have always wanted to try coconut water, I hear about it all the time and we don’t seem to have any here. Maybe I too need to put the power of twitter to the test! :)

Sounds like you are going to have a fun conference.

What a lovely package :)

I just read on another blog about Chihuly — I love his work!!! I’ve seen a few of his pieces in real life and I saw a small exhibit in PA too. His pieces are so beautiful!

I’m so glad you like the package! I had no idea you liked Chihuly, I guess great minds think alike, don’t they? I will posting about your package soon. Vida Vegan is going to be a blast, I can’t wait! :)
