A few days ago, Portland got a little snow.
Where we live, it covered the ground, but it was gone quickly.
When it began, I went outside…
Isn’t it amazing?

those almost look fake! Wow, what perfect little flakes.
neat, right?? this year is the first time I’ve ever even seen actual single snowflakes like this!!
At least you got to see some snow right? It doesn’t stick around long here either.
yes… it’s nice to watch come down, and I love walking around in the quiet…
So cool!! I’ve never seen them captured like that!
thanks – it was pretty cool… good thing we don’t have neighbors, they probably would have thought I was a little funny, walking around shooting random snow…
Oh my gosh, perfect little snowflakes!
aren’t they incredible??
those are real!?
YES !!
Woah those are amazing pictures of snow flakes! I’ve never seen them captured so well. Awesome!

Thanks, Alina!
Oh my gosh, that is so pretty! I have never seen snowflakes that look like true snowflakes. I guess I don’t look close enough
earlier in December I saw one… I think my first ever… so when it started snowing last week I went out to find more… so pretty!
Those are REAL?! Whoa! How amazing
Thanks for sharing girl!
Hi Paige! amazing and so cool, right?
They look like confetti! The snow we get here on rare occasions comes in teeny specks or in the form of sleet, so this is SO COOL to see!!!
I know!! we hardly ever see them this way, by the time I see it snowing everything is covered already. we make snowflakes as kids, but I never really knew they existed like this…
Beautiful!! Snowflakes are so magical. I love them. And you captured these so well.
Thanks, Dorry… I feel the same way, aren’t they beautiful? so amazing.
How did you catch that? Perfect snowflakes! They almost look fake!
right?? the snow was coming down so light… I saw a couple like this in December when it barely snowed, so I thought I’d try to catch some more!
omg, i truly didnt even realize that snowflakes ACTUALLY looked like they do in cartoons and drawings! my God, thats a miracle hehe <3

Wow!! I’ve never seen snowflakes like that… sooo cool! PS what kind of camera do you use?!
I have a Nikon D300 and a Nikon D40… believe it or not, these were taken with the D40, with my 18-200 lens.
amazing!
Wow, I am an Oregonian and I wish I had noticed the detail of the snow like that! Those are fantastic!
thanks!! pretty amazing, right? when it starts snowing you need to get out there immediately, before the snow is heavy and you can see the single flakes. I never knew they REALLY existed!
