Kalin over at http://eatingmachine.wordpress.com/ made Oregon shaped cookies yesterday!!!! :D

I had no idea that Oregon became a state on Valentine’s Day. In my defense though I’m from Seattle.

….Um but I don’t know the date for Washington either….

Gorgeous photos – I’ve not been to Oregon. I have been to Seattle, WA and I know how beautiful that area is.

Well, I’m convinced. When I’m an unemployed waif, I’ll take my act on the road and see what Portland is all about. :) It’s only a day’s drive from Vancouver!!

How fun that you know the birthday of your state! I’m ashamed to admit that I know hardly anything about FL…except that Pirates liked it here apparently!

I drove through OR once…my SIL lives just outside of Portland and in 2008 we made a pit stop there on our way from Spokane to Seattle (a very out of the way pit stop, but we only had the one afternoon of our vacation to make the trip..)

I’d love to have the chance to really explore that side of the country someday! It’s just so beautiful and different from PA where I grew up and now FL where I live!

We got a little snow this morning! big bloppy flakes that only stuck on car windows… and aargh and boo! I haven’t seen her since a week after the wedding. I’ll go bug her and see if she’s up for a gathering.
