I am an expert.
I have a substantial amount of joint + muscle pain and headaches. I’ve tried most every topical pain relief available to me, and consider myself well versed on the subject.
Amrutanjan, which I order from India:
Amrutanjan is amazing. It works incredibly well. The downside? Smelling like Grandpa.
I learned of this miracle from a coworker of Jason. During a team meeting, his coworker was talking and took The Dragon tube out and started rolling it across his forehead! While he was talking! Jason’s boss said what I probably would have said… “Who Told You To Put The Balm On?”
Jason, knowing my penchant for finding every possible pain relief, asked him about it and promptly texted me. I had it ordered from India before the day’s end.
Truly amazing stuff. It’s a bonus that you can feel kinda bad ass by using something called DRAGON.
I’ve tried all natural:
The Patch:
I’ve gone old school:
Warming…
even topical ibuprofen!
Each product I’ve used all have their good points. I’ve just started strength training again, and in the last week have definitely had the opportunity to put many of these to the test.
The one that remains my favorite is still Biofreeze. I have all of the forms it comes in – gel, roll on, spray, applicator tube and their newest – the high potency, maximum intensity single use wipe.
I have been using Biofreeze for years. When I first heard they were introducing the wipe, I was skeptical. How good could it be? I received one as a sample with my regular order of the gel and spray, and was so surprised!
These wipes are amazing! They really are potent (I still don’t know how!), and they seem to work better for me than some of the other forms. Now it is my go to, my favorite. I still use the gel and sometimes the spray, and I have been known to layer…
Biofreeze wipes have been effective in reducing headache pain (stay away from eyes!), neck and shoulder tension, muscle and joint pain and even my silly ankle or knee when they act up.
Because I’ve been using way more of these than normal lately, and because I want to thank my fabulous readers and blog friends for all the recent support, I am giving away some Biofreeze!
THREE winners will each receive a box of Biofreeze pain relieving wipes – 24 count.

I’ve not tried biofreeze. I was just talking to a coworker yesterday who was raving about it. I got through lots of tiger balm though!
My maintenance is most definitely rolling – I use the Triggerpoint Kit though so it’s not just the foam roller. LOVE it. I am a huge fan of Epsom salt baths too.
I follow you on twitter and will be tweeting about this giveaway.
I played no sports at all, ever. I danced.
I have not used Biofreeze…but I’m totally sold. Actually I’m sold on the others too—and I don’t really mind smelling like my grandpa since he’s pretty cool
Apparently, I have been living under a rock!
yes… my Grandpa was VERY cool. I don’t really mind it either
I always tell Jason it’s a good thing he doesn’t mind the menthol smell !!
In school, I played volleyball, basketball, track, tennis, and did gymnastics…I was not entirely serious about all of them, especially not tennis. I sucked at that! V-ball and gymnastics were my thangs
My maintenance is the trigger point therapy kit. It hurts like crazy, but if I can make myself do it, the effects are amazing… I want massages though. I should start that!
I follow you on twitter already
I now follow you on facebook…
I’ve never tried Biofreeze but it sounds like magic!
1. I have used biofreeze before, though it’s been a while. Definitely nice on achy muscles!
2. I have and still do (in college now) participate in school sports– gymnastics!
3. For my shin and ankles I usually strap some ice to myself after gymnastics practice (and sometimes heat beforehand).
I have not tried biofreeze, but I’ve heard great things, and would love to try it!
I played lots of sports. Softball and Basketball through middle school, Tennis and Soccer through high school – and some Tennis in college. I also dabbled in gymnastics a bit.
I do have forms of maintenance, but I would not call them regular. Foam roller and massage treatments really need to be more regular.
1. I’ve never used biofreeze — but it sounds great!
2. Yesss. Volleyball was my mine sport but I also was on the swim and dance teams. Also the tennis team in 9th grade but after that year volleyball/tennis seasons conflict.
3. Nope! The closest thing I’ve come to an ice bath was sitting in the snow after a run
I have never heard of/tried biofreeze but I’d like to!
I played Ultimate Frisbee and Fencing through high school and cross country as Senior
I have no form of body treatment and I think my body hates me for it. I just can’t bring myself to do an ice bath.
yeah… those are pretty brutal!!
I follow you on Twitter
I like you on Facebook
Wow, you really have tried a lot! Good to know you found what works for you!
1) Love Biofreeze. I hoard the samples they give away at races! Never tried any of the other items though…but I think I might have one of those Salonpas patches in my medicine cabinet!
2) No sports for me in school – I was a band geek thru and thru!
3) Foam rolling/”the stick” for me here – I’d love to try an ice bath, but we only have a stand up shower in our bathroom!
(that’s enough entries for me)
1. Have never used BioFreeze. Looks fascinating!
3. I’m a foam roller!
I can’t believe you order that from India!! I have seen it so often!
Small global world!
My grandpa definitely smelled like Tiger Balm – that stuff worked!
I’ve seen some of them, but not the Maha “Strong” or the Dragon… those two are my favorites. It’s really reasonable $$ – it only sounds like crazy shipping!
My way of treating my body now is getting in my garden tub – it has spa jets in it so I just massage away in a hot tub. It is so rewarding!
that sounds perfect!!
I have only tried Arnica Cream and I didnt feel like it worked well
I used to play every sport under the sun…I calle myself a dabbler
I think my favorite was Basket Ball though
I wish I could get a message every week…that would be amazing
I do foam roll however
Oh, I’m chronic. I’ve used prescriptions, I’ve used OTC, I’ve done physio / osteopathy / massage / acupuncture / homeopathic rubs / Epsom salts baths / hot-cold therapy (but not Biofreeze!) / Chinese healing: you name it, I’ve been there. I usually think the pain is a sign of something else going on so instead of masking it, I try to get at what’s beneath it, but too often what lies beneath is “no work-life balance” and then I pop the painkiller.
I did lots of school sports, from running track, soccer, handball, and XC skiing in elementary, to club volleyball and field hockey in high school, as far as organised sports go… but I never had pains until adulthood (aside from a weak ankle prone to sprains).
Hooray for getting back to strength training!! That’s my goal for next week, too!!
mee too, chronic!
I am the same way, I try to ‘heal’ my pains naturally (thus the anti inflammatory diet!) but… sometimes… this stuff REALLY helps! it frequently GETS RID of my headaches!!
HEY! I love biofreeze, what an awesome giveaway. Came from our dear friend Christina’s Friday Firsts link up.
hello Laura!! thanks for stopping by and saying hello! I’m looking at your blog now – going in my reader!!
I follow you on Facebook.
I follow you on twitter and tweeted…tweet, tweet.
I’ve used Biofreeze, epsom salts and sports massage for my various injuries and pain. They all have their pluses.
I played basketball in high school and college.
My dad has rheumatoid arthritis and has suffered from chronic pain for most of his life, so I know ALL about Biofreeze…. good stuff!
For the record… I love the way Tiger Balm smells. I also like the smell of A&D diaper rash ointment. (<— weirdo!)
I played soccer for a while but was never very good
I follow you on Twitter and tweeted!!
Massssssssssssssage, baby!!
YESSSSS … OF COURSE !
I now like you on Facebook and I shared there too.
Tweeted!
I get fairly regular massage and chiropractor adjustments!!
And FB’d!
I have used biofreeze but not these packets… I would love to try them!
Tweeted! And I already follow you.
I would LOVE to win this for my boyfriend. He’s been in excruciating back pain since December. Maybe this would help!
My form of maintenance:
regular massages (monthly or every other month)
hot tub at the gym
swimming
foam roller
I want to win this please!!! I have much pain like you describe and like to remain active still. I use arnica but I like warm cold therapy.
I looove biofreeze! I had a lot of random injuries in college and it helped. a lot!
volleyball baby!!!! my wrist still hates me! haha
I played volleyball too!! LOVED IT !!
bubble baths with menthol bath salts are my fav unwind and un-tension remedy =) core workouts and stretching too
I like Spabettie!
I do lots of foam rolling and I sit in the jacuzzi tub whenever I can. Not sure that actually HELPS me, but it sure feels good!
I think jacuzzi does help!!
I use Epson baths a lot, also general soak but not with ices. I prefer no drugs and I like topical treatment.
Wow – I had no idea that there were so many ways to up your pain relief game! I will have to try some of these next time I have a crushing headache. (I seem to be getting exertion headaches more often again)
1. I’d had Biofreeze at the Chiropractor’s office but, other than that, I’m not sure if I would have ever heard of it.
(I already follow you on Twitter, does that count?)
I’ve been getting those kind of headaches lately too… this stuff REALLY helps… I really dislike taking drugs, even ibuprofen, so even if it’s not 100% natural I like the topical solutions (obviously!)
2. Nope. I even sucked at gym class, except for gymnastics. I actually was very good at the vault though that’s not a skill you apply very often. (Unless you’re a criminal and have to leap neighborhood fences.)
haa haa!! I’m laughing out loud…
I following your tweets now and I tweeted this too.
1) My chiropractor gave me some Biofreeze last year when I hurt my neck moving boxes. I used up the packet so quickly, I loved it! But then I got better and never thought to use it again. Thanks for the reminder!
2) School days have come and gone for me. But I’m training for a marathon!
3) YES! Foam rolling every morning and night. Epsom salt bath every Wednesday night. Massage with coconut oil Friday nights [oo! That's tonight, yay!] with my boyfriend. I do a lot of self massage too – of my wrists, knees and ankles.
I’m already following you on twitter, but I’ll tweet this msg…now!
I’m hosting a snack attack giveaway right now too, if you’re interested in entering
I’ve never heard of this before, it sounds interesting (suffer from major headaches over here)
And I always knew you were awesome but you sealed the deal by quoting Seinfeld!
I played softball in high school
I follow you on the twitter and tweeted this!
I liked you on facebook.
I’ve also biofreeze and salonpas. I love biofreeze gel on my knees after a run! It feels so good!
I have never used biofreeze, but it sounds like the shiz! : )
I did sports all throughout school! I did tennis for 3 years, dance for 3 years, drill team 2 years….i guess that’s it. I feel like I’m forgetting something??
I tweeted your contest!
i’ve “liked’ you on facebook
and, finally, my “maintenance” includes stretching and foam-rolling. Haven’t ever tried the ice baths before (sounds horrible to me!)
I have never used Biofreeze, but I’ve heard great things about it! I always have headaches, so this would be awesome!
When I was in high school, I was a hardcore swimmer.
Now this is a good give away!!!! I could def use it!
Already a twitter buddy
Of course I like and stalk ya on fb!
I’ve used biofreeze before – my old chiropractor gave it to me to use – he highly recommended it!
I didn’t participate in school sports, but I took ballet after school!
For pain maintenance I usually use Goody’s powders (mixture of aceteminophin, aspirin, caffiene) but haven’t had to much more b/c of my Amazing Grass success story. If I have sore muslces, or aches and pains, I take an epsom salt bath, or I have Johnny do some of Edgar Cayce’s massage techniques on me.
oh my GOSH I used to use goody’s powders… I LOVED those – they are extremely effective!
I follow you on Twitter and I tweeted! http://twitter.com/DinnerAtXtinas/status/39821571434487808
I love biofreeze and want to try these new ones… of course, leave it to YOU to know about it first!!! I tweeted and facebooked and told my neighbours dog!! Xoxoxo
I played soccer from kindergarten to college, and now I’m on a kickball team… kinda similar?
My chiro introduced me to Biofreeze gel, helps so much!
I played soccer
I alternate cold packs and heating pads with occasional massages.
I already follow, just tweeted from @poodle_power
Yup, I’ve used it. I brought two sample packs with me on my marathon and stopped and rubbed that stuff all over around mile 17! Awesome!
I played Field Hockey all through high school.
My hubby discovered BioFreeze via his chiropractor. We have a bottle of the roll-on but have never tried the wipes.
I go to Massage Envy once a month for my muscle maintenance. I love a deep tissue massage. It helps so much with the exercising, yard work, and house work that I do. My husband has monthly adjustments and a massage at/by the chiropractor.
I’ve been following you on twitter for a while & enjoy your tweets.
White Flower Oil (http://embrocation.50webs.com) was introduced to me by my mother. During one of my headaches, she gave me this tiny bottle of oil and told me to massage it on my temples and forehead. Amazingly, it worked! Somehow the oil penetrates into the affected area and relieves the pain.
THANK YOU for sharing this!! I love to use natural remedies whenever I can (obviously I don’t always do that with the pain that these things help with!) and I will be looking for this white flower oil! I agree – I used to work in a natural medicine clinic – it’s amazing when something like that works SO well!
I know this is long past but I LOVE BioFreeze – used to work for a chiropractor and we would give that to the patients. It is truly amazing, but sadly can’t find it anywhere now…where did you find yours? I also like the Tiger Balm but BioFreeze is the best.
biofreeze will ALWAYS be one of my favorites. and the new wipes are DEFINITELY great – I use them more than the other applications now! I buy mine from a spa supplier, but I looked for you – they have the wipes (and all biofreeze) at amazon, and good pricing –> BIOFREEZE
I have also been able to find in some stores, if you’d rather buy in person. do you have a massage school in your area? sometimes the clinics there have it for sale, or maybe contact biofreeze directly to see where it’s sold near you.
