More Pi Day pies! This time, a hand pie in the Pi symbol, filled with Nutella and coconut.
Simply delicious.
Draw and cut a Pi symbol from cardboard, then cut around the template in the pie dough. Top the dough Pi with Nutella (about a tablespoon each) and sprinkle with coconut, add another dough Pi to the top, pinching together to form a pillow Pi.
Bake @ 350 for 25 minutes.
Happy Pi Day, once again!

Too cute!!! Our pi tonight is banana cream! I wish I had thought of it earlier to do a pi shaped pie like you did!! How awesome!
I thought of making these after making my original full size pie with the Pi cut out of the middle… I had made more dough that I was going to freeze… it was meant to be!

This is so awesome!
Thanks, Marie! they were pretty fun, and I couldn’t let the day go by without making them!
I was quite confused about pi day, until I thought about the fact that we mostly do “day/month/year” which means no pi day until they create two more months. But I’m totally on your bandwagon because the mental image when I saw “hand pie” was priceless, and would sell me on ANYTHING!! Woot!
ha! I didn’t think about that, 14.3 doesn’t mean the same thing, huh?
these pies were especially fun… and today I learned Nutella should NOT be refrigerated. oops!
Whoaaaa!! Pillow pies are my new favorite thing ever… even though I’ve never had one!
These look AMAZING! Nutella is the best!
thank you – this was my first time using Nutella… mmm yum!
