What I’m Loving Right Now

by spabettie on March 31, 2011

in Basil is a Young Sportsman, product review

B. Belles Bakery – Kris not only has a blog full of inspiration and good eats, she recently started an online bakery. Amazing tasting treats that are all vegan and gluten free. Pictured above – the chocolate chip cookie sandwich – fabulous!

_______________

Swanson Health Products – they recently sent me a huge box of product, selected for me after reading my blog. It included some gluten free baking mixes, gluten free chocolate coffee cookies, spa product and supplements – two that my doctor told me to add. I think (hope?) that was just a coincidence ;)  Swanson has discounted prices on quality brands and a BOGO section too. Right now you can enter to win a $100 shopping spree…

______________

BIC Bands – BIC stands for “because I can” - for those who can’t, because we can, so one day they will. A portion of sales are donated to those in need. So there is that, which is awesome, and they are The Best Headband I have ever worn! They are snug and stay in place, seriously, they stay in place, and there are many fun patterns and colors. Also, it is very hard to take a self-photo wearing a headband.

_______________

Enjoy Life – their sunbutter crunch bar was the first gluten free product I bought after becoming gluten free, and I was hooked! so I happily accepted when they offered to send me new product to try. Their cookies are nut and gluten free and pretty tasty! I love the lemon, the double chocolate brownie was good dipped in almond butter, and the snickerdoodle was okay. They were plenty tasty, I’m just a snickerdoodle freak, so it’s hard to beat fresh baked for me.

_______________

THESE VIDEOS… four VERY short videos (10-30 seconds each!) guaranteed to make you smile.

_______________

method All Purpose Cleaner – this smells amazing! Perfect for my current mood, as I await spring I can use this fresh scent all over my house. Doing that and having a day where I can open windows and get some fresh air as well? Perfect.

_______________

My longtime favorite Origins product – Peace of MindAhh… don’t you just feel calmer looking at it? :)  It’s a cool minty mind-clearing stress reducing balm. I love this… I have one in my car… in my handbag… on my coffee table…

_______________

The Long and Short of it All – the newest to me in Dachshund Blogs. From fun videos and celebrity dachshundists to sweet stories with a good ending, a fun read for Long Dog people and animal folks in general.

_______________

Funniest recent spam comment – “I heard something about this recently on a global news program.” It was a comment on my spiced apple cheesecake…  baaa haa! So happy to hear my cheesecake is that important…

_______________

and last but oh my stars not least – THIS. I am loving this.

I am loving my family (as usual). Today I’m loving Nat on her 7th birthday, Iz on the only day she woke up nervous for school (choir concert), James for his love for life and Ryan for coming along to a lunch date and choir concert date not begrudgingly but with all the enthusiasm of the children themselves. I also LOVE that keyboard. :)

great keyboard, right?? might not last long near me…

I loved reading about Nat’s birthday and Iz’s concert… so great that you could do all that! even if they might not say it or realize it now, one day they will be thankful you attended and WITH enthusiasm! <3

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!!

I like organic cleaning agents a lot! In Germany there’s a brand called “Frosch” (which I especially love because frogs are my favorite animals), and all their products are biodegradable. :)

I like using them if they are efficient – actually working to do what they are meant to. frogs are my brother’s favorite, too – that makes me smile :)

I would want to eat my counter top if I used that. Don’t use their almond floor cleaner…it smells like baby powder. Which I don’t mind, but it kind of reminds me of diapers and it takes forever to get the smell gone.

yes… this one smells AMAZING! thanks for the heads up on the almond… I’ll steer clear! ;) hope you are having a fabulous weekend, Sarena!!
