We are grilling again tonight, and it will be a mexican theme!

As an pre-grilling appetizer, I made another new guacamole. Would it surprise you to know it’s spicy? I made it a sweet and spicy, and the cool of the avocado goes perfect with the heat of the habanero.

Delicious and simple, just the way I like it.

mango habanero guacamole

2 avocados
1/2 mango
1 – 2 habanero peppers, finely diced*
juice of one lime
sea salt to taste

*Quantity based on heat preference

Purée mango in food processor or high speed blender, add water to thin if necessary. Mash avocados. Add mango, habanero, lime juice, stir until combined.

Serve with veggies and chips – we are having Food Should Taste Good blue corn – so good!

Pair with margaritas and you have a tasty Happy Hour at Home

Happy almost Friday!

I was just thinking about the phenomenon of food bloggers, how they must either be quick in posting or they must pre-celebrate holidays for content. :D

I’m fixing myself a drink right now — I so wish it were Friday night (or that I was smart enough to take Friday off of work!)

Cheers, Holly! :D I’m stopping after one (okay, maybe two!) after my month of no drinks! I have a busy busy day tomorrow!

Delicioso! I love spicy stuff. It’s fun eating with a fork in one hand, and a kleenex in the other :)

yes – as long as it is flavorful and doesn’t just make my cry and kill all taste, I’m good! especially during ALLERGY season! ;)

I have yet to try the Skinny Girl brand, as much as I love Bethenny and love margaritas. However, I have ordered them in restaurants and really really like them. :)

you should, it’s a nice change! I’m partial to a very simple guacamole, but sometimes you have to mix it up! :D

Mango and habanero?! Yum! I am such a pansy when it comes to heat, but I trust you on the combo of the sweet mango and cool avocado! Oh an those FSTG chips are my absolute fave! The cheddar ones follow oh so closely behind!
