garlic veggie juice

in daily juice,recipes,Vegan

Since I first tried garlic in my daily juice, I’ve been adding it nearly every day (go here to see the benefits of garlic). If you like garlic, you will like how it enhances the flavor of juice! I am loving it!

My afternoon juice (my fourth juice by 2:00pm – I’ve been up since 5:45) was all veggie and animated by the garlic!

garlic vegetable juice

1 clove fresh garlic
5 carrots
1 large tree broccoli
1 cucumber
1 large bunch kale

Peel garlic and juice along with the rest of the veggies. I juice the garlic first, so the remaining veggies will clear the garlic aroma from the juicer.

Enjoy!

Invigorating! I don’t even mind that I will be tasting garlic the remainder of the day. ;)

I love garlic — never had any in juice though, I can imagine it is quite potent!

we have been incorporating garlic back into our diets, we took a break from them a long time ago since we felt our bodies were not digesting them. but we know how good they are for us so we have started slowing eating garlic again. and so far so good. :)

glad you are able to enjoy garlic again! I know raw garlic should really only be a couple cloves a day… too much gets to be… well, too much. ;) XO!

you should get a juicer – even if you don’t do what I am currently doing, it’s awesome! :)

Once upon a time, I was in REALLY good shape. I spent 90 minutes at the gym every day and went really, REALLY hard. So I had to fuel my bones properly, dontcha know?

One Monday, my friends and I decided to go out to dinner at my friend Patti’s co-worker’s family-owned resto. It’s called “The Garlic Clove”. Well, I had been at the gym in the morning, taught a 3-hour seminar in the afternoon, and by the time we got to dinner at 7pm, I was past hungry and losing my mind. I shared an appetiser. I ate my entree. I had some of my friend’s entree. And then, I was able to stop shaking.

Well, it’s called “The Garlic Clove” because garlic is in everything—including dessert. And I had just consumed about 10-12 heads myself. Exaggerating? Probably. But: for the next 3 days, I swear, you could smell me coming. Gym-goers hated me as I sweat the garlic out, and for awhile, I was pretty much over garlic. Critical mass killed my love, and to this day, I’m careful not to over-garlic anything anymore…

That’s all I could think about as I read this post. :D Happy Humpday!

oh, no… I have heard that too much garlic can be… not fun. I stick to a MAX two a day, and don’t have it every day. usually just one clove… I would hate if I lost my love of garlic.

on the upside, here’s something I’m not taunting you with? :D

I must admit that I’m intimidated by this addition of garlic. But I think I’ll give it a whirl. If Ry drinks it too it’ll cancel out garlic breath, right? ;)

yes, you BOTH must have the garlic, it cancels it out! ;)

mmmmmmmmmmmmm! I heart garlic and I know I told you this already but it’s worth repeating: garlic and/or onion in juice is awesome! Not something I have often but it sure is tasty!

So clever! It SOOOO makes sense to add garlic to the veggie juices! My gosh you are a wise woman. I really cracked up with your confession post – I was expecting something scandalous – you naughty, naughty girl :)
I have a juicer – not a fancy one – but I’m still threatening to bust it out – it sounds like you are really loving it! xoxo

you know i am totally with you on these juices!…i think i have told you that i have never followed a recipe for a juice—just tossing in whatever i have salvaged from the previous day’s veggie meals….but one day i will just have to follow a recipe…who knows, maybe i won’t have to pinch my nose or bottom-up a juice….but i love to see you and i share a love for veggie juices

yes, the more and more I juice, the less fruit I am using! I do love my pineapple ;) but I really love the taste of GREEN too! :D

hoooooray!

I love garlic, really love it & never seen it in any juice recipes … just done a search to find out if I were an oddball & there was some reason it was not used “publicly” hahaha .. yours was the first result I clicked on & thankfully my desire to add 3 cloves in my morning juice is the right choice!!!
I don’t necessarily use juice recipes but garlic is just not on any list I’ve seen .. until now .. thanks for the reassurance! x

ha haaa – “not used publicly” – that’s great! I think it is a bit unusual, but… I LOVE it! (and I never claimed to be usual) ;) I still juice garlic, almost daily, and I generally stick to 2 raw cloves per day… 3 must be treating you well – I do recall reading that too much is not a good thing.

Cheers to you, and to garlic breath!! :D
