The minted part of this juice comes from the twins, after they told me it’s their favorite juice addition. I’ve made mint smoothies before, and I’ve even added fresh mint to cookies, but I’ve never juiced it.
Trying to keep the last bites of summer within my grasp, I am buying up all the berries I see. I even pulled a last minute swerve into a roadside fruit stand yesterday, and bought these incredibly flavorful blackberries.
Taste like summer.
After chatting with the fine folks at the fruit stand, I immediately came home to make this juice. On my way into the house, I grabbed some mint.
minted berry grape juice
serves two
1 box fresh blackberries
3 large bunches grapes
5-6 leaves fresh mint
Juice and garnish with a couple ice cubes for a refreshing afternoon infusion. Cool and naturally sweet, I think summer has a few more of these in store.
Today I am thrilled Carla asked me to guest post – I am talking juice and reviewing some of the basics – go visit MizFit and see a couple new recipes as well.
Do you like fresh mint? How do you use it?

I don’t use mint much — every once in a while I’ll add some mint extract to smoothies (usually around St. Patrick’s Day!), but that is about it. I think mint reminds me so much of gum and toothpaste that I don’t really care to eat it in meals or snacks.
I love the freshness mint adds… I don’t use it nearly enough! Those plump berries look SO good!
oh the berries were so good… I love the fresh flavor of mint too – we have a plant in our yard and I’ll go by and grab a leaf to chew on…
I’ve only used it in mojitos. And boy is that tasty.

Better hurry up..I think Fall starts this weekend??? Could be wrong.
eep, better hurry! I think it’s tomorrow, you’re right…
Now that looks delish! I love blackberries!
me too… they were SO good this year, I am going to miss them.
gorgeous! I haven’t juiced mint but have smoothie’d it. Yum!

This juice sounds amazing! I’ve also found that drinking out of Mason jars seems to make things taste better. This could have a lot to do with the fact I was born in Georgia and have lived in various places in the south my whole life. =) Lemonade or sweet tea or a little of both in a Mason jar is summer to me.
i JUST bought a juicer (like today) and i immediately came to your blog to get some great juicing combos. i can’t wait to try it out!
YAY, SARAH!! I am so excited for you – PLEASE let me know if you have any questions about anything! have FUN!
Those berries look so good, I love Mint juice and this has just become one of my favorite

Oh man, I actually love grape juice even though I tend to snub most juices.
So yea, pickle juice and grape juice pretty much reign in my book.
Mmm – pickle juice! my friend and I made Pickle Martinis once… they were DELICIOUS, but we could only drink one. #heartburn

this one knocked my Louboutins off, girl!
love the addition of mint
VERY unique! love the mint addition, I will try!
Your recipes all sound fantastic! Can you please tell me what you consider a serving size? You never fail to note the amount of servings each recipe yields but I’d like to know the number of cups per serving. Thank you!
hi Nicole – I would say with most of my juice recipes, the serving size averages a 10-12 ounce glass, possibly a bit more? I generally grab what I think will be enough, and if it looks like I need more I’ll add an extra carrot or some more spinach. Hope that helps!
