Just as the holidays appear everywhere the day after Halloween, winter weather has definitely arrived in Portland.
It was icy cold this morning.
Basil cut our walk short – even in his coat.
I can never do a wordless Wednesday without words…
Keep warm!

I do love this time of year. I know it seems kind of sad and somber, but I fine the frosty surfaces to be so peaceful…I know, I’m weird. Now, stay warm! I have two coats on right now and I’m sitting inside (Tony’s hot natured and I’m cold natured)…I have a feeling this is going to be a cold winter!
I love it too… it is peaceful – I love to bundle up, build a fire, be cozy… and I love when it snows!
Those leaves hardly look real! Almost looks like peach fuzz on them. Gorgeous
Brrrrr….. but what incredible photos!! Simply spectacular.
Prettiest leaved ever
garr I meant leaves
hee, I just love that you said GARR.
Beautiful photos! It was freezing this morning. I had thick ice on my car too.
Winter has arrived! It actually is nice here this week, but that will change fast!!!
Happy Wednesday love! xo
I love your Worded Wednesday! And those leaf pictures are frame-worthy, gorgeous!!! I’m dyyyyying to get a better camera so I can take gorgeous photos like yours, but it’s just not in the budget right now!

It was like this in NY this morning too…but then it got up to 63 today!

cannot believe it snowed??!! WOW. I love San Diego
That’s pretty cool! Those pictures are incredible.
And odd… it’s like 75 to 80 degrees in Northern California…
so bizarre how things are different SO close?
beautiful. there’s a cold front blowing in AS I TYPE THIS. It’s supposed to dip into the 30s here tomorrow which is CRAZY since it was in the 80s yesterday or the day before… I think I’m ready to bundle up!
I know, we had a short summer, but I’m kinda ready for COLD and cozy!
woah! that leaf looks so fake!

Those pictures are beautiful. I’ve never seen snow…Im a Floridian. :-p
But I just love the icy leaves.
that is so crazy to me!
my dad grew up in Hawaii, so he’d never seen snow until later in life either.
You are such a fantastic photographer. Just beautiful.
thank you SO much, Joyce! <3 I really like the outdoor subjects.
so pretty! Complete opposite to where I am – sweaty and humid (sexy)
Beautiful pictures!!! It’s still pretty warm in Chicago – and I’m hoping it stays that way, at least through November!
Oh wow, those leaves are so beautiful.
thank you, Krystina! looking forward to going out again tomorrow morning to see what I can find…
Beautiful photos – what camera and lens are you using? I am in the market for something interest
my camera is the Nikon D300 and this was the 50mm lens. exciting to be looking for a new camera – my biggest suggestion to you is to find a camera shop and go play with different models!
OOOH Basil in the coat!! I can’t get over the frost, but it’s really pretty.
“can’t do wordless wed without words” – lol
Stay warm mama!
Basil loves his coat.
we are staying warm – big socks and sitting by the heater… getting a cord of firewood soon!
Oh wow, so beautiful! It hasn’t got that cold here yet… but it’s supposed to snow tomorrow… dun dun dunh
oooh – I can’t wait for that here!
Those leaves are just gorgeous! It was 30 degrees when I got in my car this morning to get to work so I know winter is definitely on the way. I love everything about winter except for driving in the snow!
I don’t mind driving in snow (I have a fun 4WD) it’s the ice and other drivers that scare me…
beautiful pictures!!
thank you, Felicia!
Aww, so beautiful!
thanks, Kath! MISS YOU!! XO
It’s been cold here on Vancouver Island too. I got off work last night at about 10pm and all the wet ground was icing over!…..
…..that being said, it means Christmas is on it’s way and I looooooove Christmas!
THose are so beautiful they don’t even look real!!! Gorgeous! (I used to add words to wordless wed. posts too- they are “less words”, right?)
