Basil picks a giveaway winner

by Kristina Sloggett

in Basil is a Young Sportsman

With all that’s going on lately, picking the Yumvelope giveaway winner totally slipped my mind.

Basil helped me pick a winner. Okay, he snacked on his peanut butter kong, and I entered the numbers into the random generator.

Isn’t he cute, though? He approved the winner, and sends his congrats.

See Basil’s pick here!

I knew you’d appreciate that… I just LOVE it. I have too many photos of his paws in general, but when he is holding something? TOO cute.

How good are Kongs?!

Kongs are great! Basil is a small guy (shh, don’t tell HIM that…) so he has the smallest Kong – VERY strong, one of the only things B has not destroyed within FIVE MINUTES, honestly. I fill it with peanut butter or stick a crunchy treat in there, he is happy and busy for an hour!

I had to leave a comment and tell you that Basil is just adorable. I grew up with doxies in the house from the time I could walk until I left home. (Not the same dogs obviously :-) Our shiba inus love a peanut butter kong as much as Basil seems to.

I will be glad to join you for Food ‘n Flix this month and am happy to have found your blog.

hi Tina! thanks for saying hello – I look forward to your Food ‘n Flix creation!

…and Basil says thank you. ;) We had dachshunds all through my childhood, too – the first was Hansel, who my parents had before my brother and I came along! My parents still have 2 dachshunds, Jake and Elwood. They sure are fun dogs, right? and I can’t imagine any dog not liking a peanut butter kong!

Cheers, happy Thursday!
